Branching Out – Youth Week Zine Project

Are you a creative person aged 15-26yrs with a story to tell? Be a part of the Branching Out Zine project! The Branching Out Zine will bring together a mish-mash of visual & written content, stories, images, thoughts & ideas. You will be guided by Zine artist & DIY queen Fayroze Lutta to create the Branching Out Zine over a series of workshops.  At these workshops you will be given a creative brief & will be guided to create a personal submission exploring the title theme.  The Branching Out Zine will be launched at the National Youth Week Youth Art Showcase Launch Party at Pine Street Gallery on the 10 April. All participants will have the opportunity to attend the Launch Party, celebrate the YAS art exhibition & distribution of their Zine! Get involved!


Youth Art Jam

2 x Wednesdays: 3 & 10 June 2015
6pm – 9pm
Tutor: Christie Torrington
$80 (all materials provided, except t-shirt/s)

Go wild in the Youth Art Jam – two intensive creative sessions working across a variety of practical mediums including screen print, stencilling & badge making. You will develop a design to create your own stickers, badges, t-shirts, calico bags & art prints. Develop your skills across a range of printing & craft techniques while creating something you love! A really fun workshop for the young crafter, creative, designer or art freak. Great for  young people who  want to create their own merchandise for bands, products or DIY projects! You will also have the opprtunity to exhibit your finished pieces in the annual National Youth Week Class size 10

Secure online payment is via Moshtix. If you do not already have an account with them you will need to set one up at the time off booking.

To book in: Click on the drop down ticketing box to the right of the listing above. Only one ticket is available per person – each student has to book in themselves. Once you have selected your ticket, and if you already have an account set up with Moshtix, you will be asked to log in, then directed to the Moshtix secure payment site.

Online payment: is by VISA, Mastercard and PayPal. If you prefer to pay in person, there are Moshtix outlets that you can visit. The staff there will book your place online for you (if there are spaces available) and take your payment.

Waitlists: If the course is full, you won’t be able to select a ticket (it will show the tickets as “Allocation Exhausted”). If you would like to be placed onto a waitlist, email a request to with the full details of the course, including title, day and start time.
