Our Mission

The Art Centre aims to encourage participation in lifelong learning within a cultural and creative framework. Artistic development is encouraged through all the Centre’s activities, including a diverse range of arts workshops, exhibitions, community projects and events.

Pine Street Creative Arts Centre offers a dynamic range of arts programs for all ages. The courses are delivered by specialist tutors and professional artists in a friendly and engaging studio environment. Courses on offer are across a range of mediums, including but not limited to, ceramics, printmaking, silver jewellery, drawing, painting, stencil art and digital art. Courses can range from short weekend workshops through to programs of nine weeks duration.

Pine Street Gallery

Pine Street Gallery is a community art exhibition space that aims to encourage, stimulate and promote local arts and cultural activities through an active and diverse exhibition program. It provides the local community with an affordable and supportive public exhibition space and is open to solo artist shows, group shows or exhibitions from a range of different organisations.

Staff & Tutors

The Centre has seven permanent staff members, consisting of three program coordinators, two studio technicians/senior tutors, an arts administrator and the Senior Operations Coordinator. The Centre also has a panel of Tutors who are responsible for the delivery of the Centre’s workshops.

All of Pine Street’s staff have university degrees, current Senior First Aid Certificates, have undergone Working With Children training and police checks. All staff who work directly with children have completed two days of Mandatory Reporting training. Pine Street tutors are professional, practising artists with substantial experience in specific art practices, as well as backgrounds in teaching and working with different communities.
